SocialZoom is a social platform for digital marketing. Small businesses, creators, marketers and anyone sharing their work use it to post about what they do, grow an audience and talk to customers.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Suraj Kumar Rajak (trading as Social Zoom) ("SocialZoom", "we", "us"). They cover the SocialZoom app, our website socialzoom.co, and the marketing services we sell directly.

By creating an account, using SocialZoom or buying a plan from us, you agree to these Terms, our Community Guidelines, our Child Safety Standards and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you don’t agree, please don’t use SocialZoom.

1. Who can use SocialZoom

You can use SocialZoom only if:

  • you are at least 13 years old. We check your date of birth when you sign up;
  • you give us true information when you sign up, including your real date of birth;
  • we haven’t previously banned you from SocialZoom;
  • you are not a convicted sex offender;
  • the law doesn’t stop you from using SocialZoom.

If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, please read these Terms with a parent or guardian and use SocialZoom only with their permission.

If you use SocialZoom for a business or another organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to act for it. These Terms then apply to both you and the organisation.

2. Your account

  • Keep your password safe and don’t share it. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and tell us at support@socialzoom.co. In Settings, under Where you’re logged in, you can log out of other devices.
  • Don’t create an account for someone else without their permission, and don’t sell, rent or transfer your account or username.
  • Choose a username that doesn’t mislead people or pretend to be someone else. We may change or take back a username that breaks these Terms or someone else’s rights, such as a trademark.
  • Your account becomes visible to others only once you have chosen a username. If you don’t finish signing up, we delete the unfinished account after 24 hours of inactivity.

3. Your content

"Content" means anything you post or send on SocialZoom: photos, videos, captions, stories, comments, messages and your profile details.

  • You own your content. We don’t claim ownership of it.
  • You give us permission to use it to run SocialZoom. When you post or send content, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display, format (for example, resize or compress) and deliver it, only as needed to provide SocialZoom to you and the people you share with. This licence ends when your content is deleted from our systems, apart from copies kept for a limited time in backups or where the law requires us to keep it.
  • You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to share, and make sure it follows these Terms and the law.
  • Marketing services. If you buy a marketing service from us, you also allow us to use the content, logos and other materials you send us to deliver that service, for example to create, edit and publish posts for you. You confirm that you have the right to let us use them.

New accounts are private. Only the followers you approve can see your posts and stories. Your name, username, photo, bio and website link stay visible to anyone, so people can find you and decide whether to follow. You can make your account public at any time in Settings. Messages can be seen only by the people in the chat. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly who sees what.

Tagging people and places

  • You can tag people in a photo you post. Only tag someone where it makes sense for them to be tagged, and take a tag off if they ask you to. Anyone you tag can remove their own tag, and the post then leaves their Tagged tab.
  • A place on a post is a name you type. Don’t use it to point people at someone’s home, or anywhere else where naming the location would put a person at risk.
  • Don’t use tagging to get attention from people who haven’t asked for it. Repeatedly tagging people in posts that have nothing to do with them is spam, and we treat it as spam.

Inviting people

Every account gets a referral code. You may share it, but you must not create accounts yourself to use it, pay people to sign up, or use any other trick to make it look as though you have referred people you haven’t. We check for this, and where we find it we reject the referral and may close the accounts involved. We can change or end the referral programme at any time.

4. What you must not do

Follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not post, share or send content that:

  1. belongs to someone else when you don’t have the right to share it;
  2. is obscene or pornographic, sexualises children, invades someone’s privacy (including bodily privacy), insults or harasses anyone because of their gender, is racially or ethnically offensive, relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, or stirs up hatred between groups because of religion or caste with the aim of causing violence;
  3. is harmful to children;
  4. infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other rights;
  5. misleads people about where a message came from, or knowingly spreads information that is false or misleading;
  6. pretends to be another person;
  7. threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, India’s friendly relations with other countries, or public order; encourages any serious crime; gets in the way of a criminal investigation; or insults another nation;
  8. contains viruses or any code designed to damage or disrupt computers or software;
  9. promotes or advertises online real-money games, betting or gambling that aren’t allowed under Indian law;
  10. breaks any law.

Also, don’t post AI-generated or edited images, video or audio that falsely show a real person saying or doing something.

You also must not misuse SocialZoom. That means you must not:

  • hack, probe or disrupt our servers or the app, or get around our security, limits or blocks;
  • collect other people’s information, or copy content from SocialZoom in bulk, including with bots or scrapers;
  • use automation or fake accounts to post, follow, like, comment or send messages;
  • create a new account to get around a ban, a suspension or someone blocking you;
  • copy, change or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

5. Using SocialZoom for business and promotion

Many people use SocialZoom to promote a business, a brand or their own work. That’s welcome. When you do:

  • Be honest. Only make claims about your products, services and results that are true and that you can back up. Don’t promise things you can’t deliver, such as guaranteed income or cures, and don’t post fake reviews or testimonials.
  • Say when a post is paid for. If you are paid, get free products, or have any other business connection with a brand you promote, make that clear in the post itself, for example by starting the caption with "Ad", "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership".
  • No fake engagement. Don’t buy, sell or trade followers, likes, views or comments, and don’t use bots or apps that create them.
  • No spam. Don’t send unsolicited bulk messages, or send the same message or comment to lots of people who haven’t asked to hear from you.
  • Respect trademarks and copyright. Only use logos, brand names, photos, music, videos and other material in your marketing if you have the right to. Don’t use someone else’s brand in a way that suggests they support you.
  • Follow the law for your business. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection and advertising laws.
  • Contests and giveaways. If you run one, you are responsible for its rules and for following the law. Make it clear that SocialZoom isn’t running or sponsoring it.
  • Look after your customers’ information. If people share personal information with you, use it only for the reason they gave it to you, and handle it lawfully. Never ask anyone for passwords, one-time codes or card details in messages.

Deals between users

If you buy from, sell to or work with another SocialZoom user, the deal is only between you and them. SocialZoom isn’t a party to it, and we’re not responsible for payment, delivery, quality or anything else about it. Agree the details clearly, be careful with people you don’t know, and report anyone who tries to scam you.

Promoted posts

We may add promoted or sponsored posts to SocialZoom in future. If we do, they will always be clearly labelled.

6. Safety tools and reports

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

  • A private account: new accounts start private, so only the followers you approve see your posts. You approve or decline every follow request.
  • Block: stop someone from following you, messaging you, and liking or commenting on your posts.
  • Report: report a post or an account from its menu, including for child safety. Reports are private: we don’t tell the person you reported who reported them.
  • Hidden words: hides comments on your posts, and messages from people you don’t follow, that contain offensive words. It is on by default, and you can add your own words.
  • Message requests: someone you don’t follow can only send you a request, which you accept or decline.
  • Remove a tag: you can take off any tag someone puts on you.

We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours.

7. How we enforce these Terms

If content or behaviour breaks these Terms, our Community Guidelines or the law, we may:

  • remove the content;
  • limit what an account can do;
  • suspend the account, or close it permanently;
  • report it to law enforcement where the law requires it or someone’s safety is at risk.

For serious breaches, such as child sexual abuse and exploitation, threats of violence or illegal content, we may act straight away and without warning. The law requires us to report some offences, such as child sexual abuse material, to the authorities.

If we close your account, your profile and posts are hidden straight away, and we erase the account 30 days later. That gap is there so you can appeal, and so we can answer the authorities if the closure involved illegal content. Deleting your own account is different: that happens immediately, and our account deletion page explains it.

Where we can, we’ll tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or email support@socialzoom.co, or contact our Grievance Officer (section 17). We’ll remind you of these rules regularly, as the law requires.

8. Paid plans

Our paid plans are SocialZoom Pro and our marketing plans. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains billing, cancellation and refunds in full.

SocialZoom Pro

  • What it is: Pro is a paid plan that comes with the verified tick and extra features. We may change Pro’s features over time. If we make a change that significantly reduces what Pro includes, we’ll tell you in advance, and you can cancel.
  • Price: Pro costs INR 199 per month, including GST (a provisional price: Pro is not on sale yet), and you’ll see the price before you buy.
  • Renewal: Pro is a subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Where you buy decides who bills you:
    • in the iPhone app, Apple handles billing, renewal and refunds under the App Store’s rules;
    • in the Android app, Google Play handles them under Google Play’s rules;
    • on our website, payment is handled by Razorpay, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy applies.
    • Price changes: if the price changes, we’ll tell you before the new price applies to your subscription. The App Store or Google Play may ask you to agree to the new price.
    • Public information: if you have Pro, other people can see your verified tick, that you have Pro, and when your Pro ends.
    • The tick: buying Pro doesn’t include an identity check, so a tick on its own doesn’t prove who runs an account.

Marketing plans

  • What they are: we sell digital marketing services, such as social media management, content creation, email marketing and monthly promotional plans. We can also agree a custom plan with you. What each plan includes and costs is shown before you buy, or agreed with you before a custom plan starts.
  • Billing: marketing plans are billed monthly, in advance, through Razorpay, and renew each month until you cancel.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel at any time. Cancelling takes effect from your next billing cycle, and we don’t give refunds for part of a month.
  • What we need from you: our work depends on the information, materials and approvals you send us. If they arrive late, the work may be delayed.
  • Results: we’ll do the work in your plan with reasonable care and skill, but we can’t promise particular results, such as a number of followers, views, leads or sales.

Refunds and chargebacks

Refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you dispute a payment with your bank (a "chargeback"), we’ll suspend the plan and stop work on it until the dispute is settled. If we suspend or close your account or plan because you broke these Terms, you won’t get a refund for the unused part, except where the law requires it.

9. Our rights in SocialZoom

The SocialZoom name, logo, app and website belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use the app only as these Terms allow. Parts of the app use open-source software, which is available under its own licences.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without paying you or owing you anything.

Copyright and other rights

If you think content on SocialZoom infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@socialzoom.co with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • the work you think has been infringed;
  • the username and a description of the post or content, so we can find it;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t allowed, and that the information in your notice is accurate.

We will remove infringing content, and we close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

10. Other websites

Profiles and posts can include links to other websites. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for them.

11. Changes to SocialZoom

We are always working on SocialZoom, so features may change, be added or be removed. We’ll update these Terms and our other policies when we launch new features. We may also suspend or stop part or all of SocialZoom. If we plan to stop SocialZoom completely, we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can download your data.

12. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep SocialZoom running well, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will always be available, secure or free of errors. We are not responsible for content that other people post or send, or for deals between users.

Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can’t be changed by agreement.

13. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of SocialZoom. Our total liability to you for any claim about SocialZoom is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

14. If you break these Terms

If you break these Terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us by someone else, you are responsible for the losses and costs this causes us, to the extent the law allows.

15. Ending your use of SocialZoom

  • You can leave at any time. Delete your account in the app (Settings, then Delete account) or on our account deletion page. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a paid plan, so cancel any plan first, as our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains.
  • We can suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering SocialZoom.

Sections 9, 12, 13, 14, 18 and 19 continue to apply after your account ends.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll change the "last updated" date. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using SocialZoom after that, you accept the new Terms. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.

17. Complaints and our Grievance Officer (India)

Under India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended, our Grievance Officer is:

  • Name: Suraj Kumar Rajak
  • Email: suraj@socialzoom.co
  • Address: Suraj Kumar Rajak (trading as Social Zoom), 38 Bhagwan Nagar, Ashram, New Delhi 110014, India

You can complain by emailing the Grievance Officer, or by reporting a post or account in the app. Please include your username, the username or post you are complaining about, and what happened.

  • We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 7 days.
  • If you ask us to remove content that breaks the rules in section 4, we act on it within 36 hours.
  • If content shows your private areas, full or partial nudity or a sexual act, or impersonates you (including edited or "morphed" images of you), we remove it or block access to it within 2 hours of your complaint. Someone else can complain on your behalf.

If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer’s decision, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, within 30 days of receiving the decision, at gac.gov.in.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@socialzoom.co so we can try to sort it out. If we can’t, the courts at New Delhi, India have jurisdiction.

If you live in the European Union, the UK or another country whose laws give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or under your local consumer laws, nothing in these Terms takes that right away.

19. If you downloaded SocialZoom from the Apple App Store

  • These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • You may use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app doesn’t meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.
  • If someone claims that the app infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

20. General

  • These Terms, together with the policies they mention, are the whole agreement between you and us about SocialZoom.
  • If part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce part of these Terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer these Terms to someone who takes over SocialZoom, for example in a merger or sale. You may not transfer them without our agreement.
